Steve Partridge
 

Business
Steve is a director of Litchfield Consultants, which he founded in 1998.

He commenced work as a trainee for Tarmac Construction whilst still at college. He moved to Thomas Bates and Son where he set out the housing estate that is currently being demolished to make way for the Olympic Stadium. He undertook many GLC repair contracts all over the East End of London. In 1984 he worked as a project managers for Simmonds Brothers and undertook small projects in many well known government buildings and royal properties.

He worked as a project manager on several phases of Broadgate and was a senior manager building Harbour Exchange in Docklands.

He became Contracts director at Morgan Lovell, then left to get involved with the IT industry and was a consultant for many IT companies including IBM. In 1998 he consolidated the different fields by setting up Litchfield Consultants.   

Running
Steve's first ultra was the 1999 Marathon des Sables. Since then he has competed in the Jordan Desert Cup twice, the Trans 333 in Mauritania, Boa Vista in the Cape Verde Islands, the Libyan Challenge twice and the Marathon des Sables again in 2001, 2002 and 2005. He is co-founder of the Marathon of Britain with Rory Coleman and Anke Molkenthin. His next events are the 4 desert series and a 5th
Marathon des Sables.

Steve has completed many of the world's great marathons including London, New York and Boston and Berlin and plans to complete the Big Five by completing Chicago in 2008. Personal
Married to Kathy and living in the City of London, Steve is involved with city society and organisations. He is also involved in trail running, founding and organising the annual Thames Meander.

A Masters degree, an International Certificated Project Manager, Chartered Builder, Chartered Manager, part qualified Banker and IT professional, he designed the first on-line European real-time website in 1996 when web cameras were installed in the Reebok Stadium, Bolton.

He is also author of "Potential use of world-wide web for construction companies as an advertising medium" and co-author of "Shop@home Manual E-Commerce Solutions". He has also written articles in the Watt Magazine and Runners World.
